1. Always seal the wefts before you get them install. We recommend using FrayCheck which you can purchase at shop.getglamdhair.com. This simple step helps reinforce the wefts, holding the hairs in to place.
2. Always use sulfate free products. Sulfates, found in most drug store products, are very harsh on extensions. Read the labels and make sure they are SULFATE FREE.
3. Detangle once a week with a co-wash with your favorite sulfate free conditioner. While hair is wet, smothered in conditioner, use a wet brush starting from the ends to the wefts. Starting at the wefts and going down will rip hair out. Gently work your way up. You can rinse out the conditioner or leave it in depending on the desired look.
4. Diffuse your curls. While it may be easier to just let your hair air dry, it cause tangles and knots. With a diffuser and your favorite heat protectant and curly products, dry your curls in place.
5. Curly weave is all about the products. There are plenty of curly hair products on the market. You have to experiment to find the formula that works for you. We definitely recommend a gloss shine spray to help your curls bounce and shine.
6. Nightly routine. How you sleep will always determine how much time you spend on your hair in the morning. With curly weave, we recommend parting into big sections and plaiting at night. This keeps your curls from intertwining and tangling in your sleep. Always sleep on a silk bonnet. Silk promotes shiny, bouncy, tangle free hair.

Get Glam’d Hair Salon & Store sells a variety of human hair extensions. We recommend you seal the wefts with FrayCheck prior to use to prevent shedding. If service requires cutting the wefts, you will experience minimal shedding at the site of cuts. We recommend you maintain your extensions using sulfate free products. Please co-wash all human hair products prior to use to rinse away pesticides and debris from shipping. Given that all products are virgin human hair, don’t be surprised if it acts as human hair acts. Just like your hair, ends will split or break with poor attention. Hair that is no longer attached to scalp requires intense moisture, so we recommend conditioning and moisture treatments regularly. Please do not scrub extensions, gently massage products through the hairs and comb with a shampoo brush. While washing and conditioning, leave conditioner on extensions for at least 15 min before rinsing. We recommend detangling once a week, combing from the ends to the wefts in small sections. Coming or brushing from the wefts first will result in shedding. If you have purchased any lace products, understand that each hair is hand-tied making these units fragile. Bleaching knots jeopardizes the integrity and length of usage and may cause shedding and balding. Extensions  that have been colored require extra specially care. Develop a nightly routine with extensions  to ensure they stay full and tangle free. Try a wrap with a silk scarf, tuck under a silk bonnet, or braid in plaits. Always sleep on a silk pillow case. We recommend drenching your extensions in conditioner prior to any water activities. Braid or ponytail extensions prior to any water activities to prevent tangling and matting. Chlorine is a very harsh chemical and will strip your extensions causing them to tangle. After use of extensions, always wash, conditions, and detangle. Store in a cool dry place with air to breathe to prevent moisture, mildew and or mold.

If you have any pre-existing scalp or hair conditions or require any special arrangements, please book a consultation. If you have received sewn in extensions of any kind, you must be gentle and handle with extreme care. Should you feel any irritation or extreme pain, please alert your stylist immediately DURING THE SERVICE and after. Never deal with pain in silence. It is not offensive to alert your stylist. Failure to notify or address irritation or pain may result in irritation, infection, or severe hair loss. The commercial wefts are sewn with cotton or nylon to your natural hair or net. Your hair may require the use of synthetic weave for stability. If your hair is especially weak or your scalp especially sensitive, we recommend an allergy test prior to see if you are allergic to synthetic hair. Prior to receiving bonded or glue in extensions, please perform an allergy test to see if your are allergic to latex. Please be gentle with combing, brushing, and styling your installation. Yanking, pulling, and ponytails will pull on braids therefore pulling on your natural hair follicle, which may result in hair loss. throughout the duration of your installation, use an antiseptic on your scalp and braids to prevent oder irritation and mold. Never sleep on wet hair. Always dry your installation to prevent mildew or mold. We don’t not recommend the wear of bonded extensions past 3 weeks. We do not recommend the wear of a sewin longer that 12 weeks to prevent matting, tangling dreading and or hair loss. Past the time of usage, Get Glam’d Hair Salon & Store is not liable for any damages to scalp or natural hair. Removing extensions can be especially dangerous. Understand that a normal adult sheds between 50 to 100 natural hair follicle per day. You will shed approximately 10,000 natural hair follicles throughout the duration of a sew in installation. Without proper removal procedure, you risk irreparable damage your natural hair and scalp. Should you choose to remove your own extensions, proceed at your own risk. Get Glam’d Hair Salon & Store offers a variety of color & chemical services. Color is a very high maintenance service that requires a lot of at home and salon attention. Get Glam'd Hair is 100% VIRGIN, but may be chemically treated. Our Brazilian Hair may be lightened up to 9 levels safely. We recommend lightening 4-5 levels at a time, wash then deep condition before lightening again. Understand that all color services require a consultation prior to service. Women that may be pregnant may not receive any chemical services of any kind, We highly recommend an allergy test prior to initial chemical services. Chemicals can alter your natural wave patterns permanently. Please disclose all chemicals pre existing on your natural hair prior to service dating back 2 years. Hair chemically altered still exists on your head of hair unless more recently cut off. Hair chemically altered then covered by color does not eliminate previous chemicals. Disclosing all prior chemical services helps your stylist best achieve desired results. We recommend all color treated hair be seen by a professional at least twice a month to ensure the overall health of hair. Maintain your color at home with color products designed to eliminate unwanted tones recommended by your stylist. Hydration is the key to maintaining healthy hair with chemical. We offer a variety of natural haircare services at
Get Glam’d Hair Salon & Store. Flat iron, curling, or heat services require very high temperatures. We use professional protectant products to ensure there is minimal damage during services. We highly recommend that you do not put heat on your hair at home. If you must, we recommend you use heat on clean hair with a heat protectant  spray or serum. Ceramic or tourmaline are the only metals recommended for at home styling. Nightly, sleep using silk materials: scarf, bonnet, pillowcase, sheets. Cotton or polyester fabrics cause brittleness and breakage. We also recommend the use of vitamins and water regularly to cultivate growth and shine from beneath the scalp.
